Enable Collaboration with E-Cycle Solutions opens doors for Social Procurement Contracts

Another example of how great things happen through collaboration is on show with Enable's latest partnership with e-waste industry heavy hitter and Co-regulator under the National Television & Computers Recycling Scheme (NTCRS), E-Cycle Solutions. This capacity-building-led initiative has ramped up Enable's quality management system, accreditations, and enterprise management tools in preparation for Enable to take on larger social procurement contracts.



Since May 2016, Enable IT Recycling have diverted 133,046 kgs of E-waste from landfill whilst creating 10 employment pathway outcomes and 14,501 hours of employability skills for over 450 disadvantaged community across Melbourne's north. This collaboration responds to a key strategic action in Enable's 2022 Strategic Plan and serves to grow both social and environmental impact.


Enable is accredited under Standard 5377 for the Collection, storage, transport, treatment, refurbishment and re-market of end of life electronic waste

​In support of Enable's strategy to win new sources of technology recycling business which is both ethical and professional, Chris Tangey, General Manager of E-Cycle Solutions said "Enable Social Enterprise Ltd is a well-managed business, with sound business operations policies and procedures. They are compliant with AS5377 which is the far reaching standard required of recyclers involved in the National Television & Computers Recycling Scheme".
