Enable's Latest Impact Statistics to June 2019 reports Growth in Social and Environmental Outcomes

Tackling barriers to employment to reduce the risk of poverty

The popularity and demand for Enable's Employability Skills Program has continued to grow in the first half of 2019 with participation rates expected to increase by over 50% again this year to December 2019. As at June 2019, 760 participants who may or do experience barriers to employment have received a total of 24,414 employability skills hours to assist with career decision-making and work experience to improve their chances of getting a job.



Creating employment pathway outcomes through Social Procurement

At the local level, Enable continues to tackle unemployment head-on. New customers are expected to increase by 50% to calendar year end December 2018. Overall, customer social procurement has supported Enable to create 7,177 paid work hours and 0 employment pathway opportunities including 6 direct employment outcomes with Enable.


Social Procurement that doubles down for Enable's customers with social and environmental impact




Doubling down on impact, Enable's environmental impact through commercial trade continues to sky-rocket. 151,662 kilograms of decommissioned technology has been diverted from landfill. Used printer cartridges were re-purposed and laid 186.3 kilometres of local road.





Community contributions help Enable create a platform for social inclusion and support local disadvantaged communities

11,325 hours of volunteering at the Board, advisor and crew level are vital to Enable’s ability to deliver social and environmental impact.

Julie McKay, Managing Director says, “the June 2019 impact report shows significant growth across key impact areas and reflects the outcomes from key impact partnerships and collaborations with Department of Justice, our NDIS partner Hurdle and large customers and long time supporters, REECE Group”



Enable IT Recycling offers a full suite of recycling services including collections and data destruction and is accredited under the AS/NZS 5377:2013 - Collection, storage, transport and treatment of end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment standard.
